Moving stats
My wife and I just drove a big moving truck across the country,
from Cambridge, MA to Mountain View, CA. For fun, I thought I would
post a few statistics:

- Overnight Stops:
- Batavia, New York (near Buffalo)
- Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Clive, Iowa (by Des Moines)
- Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Winnemucca, Nevada
- Modesto, California (until we found a place...)
- Fuel type: unleaded
- MPG: 8.14
- Amount of fuel consumed: 416 gallons
- Stops for gas: 24 stops
- States in which we purchased gas: All 13 that we drove through:

- Cheapest gas: $1.399 (Burns, Wyoming)
- Most expensive gas: $2.139 (San Jose, CA)
- Maximum speed we were supposed to take the trailer: 45 mph
- Maximum speed we did take the trailer: um... we received no speeding tickets
- Number of toll roads: 7
- Winter storms we drove through: 2
- Gas pumps we almost took out with the trailer: 2
- Brakes started overheating: once, never let that happen again
- Most cows: Nebraska
- Most billboards: Michigan
- Best meal: Truck stop in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Significantly more than they stated on the phone -
after the fact they told us that they weren't allowed
to quote numbers for insurance on the phone.
